ATM Away Day

On June 21, 2024, I had the privilege of speaking at ATM Ltd’s annual Away Day, an event that brought together the entire company to reflect, collaborate, and plan for the future. It was a special moment for me, as I’ve been working with ATM for six months, and this was the perfect opportunity to share the progress we’ve made on our carbon reduction journey—and to inspire the team to take the next steps together.

The presentation focused on ATM’s ambitions for carbon reduction, highlighting the work we’ve completed so far and the exciting opportunities ahead. I outlined the key areas where we’ve made strides, from optimizing operational efficiencies to exploring innovative low-carbon technologies. But what truly resonated with the team was the emphasis on collective action. I shared practical ways every team member can contribute, whether through reducing energy use, supporting sustainable procurement, or championing green initiatives within their roles.

The presentation sparked a lively and thought-provoking discussion. The questions and debates that followed were a testament to the team’s engagement and commitment to sustainability. From exploring new ways to decarbonize our processes to brainstorming creative solutions for reducing our carbon footprint, the energy in the room was palpable.

What stood out most was the shared sense of purpose. ATM isn’t just a company; it’s a community of passionate individuals who are ready to drive change. The Away Day reinforced my belief that, by working together, we can achieve our carbon reduction goals and set an example for the industry.
